Traditional Twill and Twine Weaving with Amy Dugas

Class Description:
This class takes learners back to traditional wicker weaving, using flat and round basketry reed to create a gorgeous, twill-and-twine basket. The basket starts with a twilled square base, which transitions through twining techniques to a beautiful, round rim.

Suitable for all levels, this class will use the inspiration of traditional weaving patterns to create a beautiful, modern basket.

All supplies to create your own beautiful basket are included – you just need to show up!

Who is this class for:
Level 1
Focus: Learning the Basics
Open to adults of all skill levels. This Level 1 class is for students with little or no experience. You will learn the basic skills for use of tools and introduction to the medium.

What to bring:
Just bring yourself, but wear clothes that can withstand the elements (i.e. glue, paint, etc.) of a fun, creative art studio.

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before scheduled start time.
