Class Description:
Far from traditional – during this mixed media workshop we will be exploring the possibilities of juxtaposing contemporary styles with vintage imagery and text to express your inner self.
The workshop is a guided exploration of combining different mediums into a cohesive mixed media artwork by combining elements of paint, collage, illustration, textiles and text. This fun afternoon workshop is sure to get the creative gears in motion, with an emphasis on discovery through experimentation. We will be discussing different mediums and covering basic elements of composition and design. Participants will be working with 8×10 Birch cradle board and a variety of mediums and paper.
Bonus: You are welcome to attend a free drop-in to Your Studio during the current session (must use by Jul 27) to complete your piece that was started in this workshop ($20 value).

Designed for adults with any level of art experience, including those with no experience.
What to bring:
We have some aprons, but wear clothes that can withstand the elements (i.e. glue, paint, etc.) of a fun, creative art studio. Nothing else is required.
