Create Your Own Comics (8-12 yrs – flexible)

Class Description:
Do you love comics? Do you want to draw your OWN comics?

Join cartoonist Matt Smith for a 3 hour workshop on creating comics from scratch. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been drawing your whole life or you THINK you can’t draw at all, if you love comics, this workshop is for you! Designed for ALL kids ages 8-12 and parents are welcome to register as well.

All materials provided. Let’s make some comics!

Dates:
Jul 26 (1 class)
Wednesday 1:00pm – 4:00pm

What is included:
All supplies are included.

Who is this class for:
Designed for children ages 8-12 with any level of art experience. Parents are also welcome (totally optional) to register, even if they THINK they can’t draw! If you can draw stick men with smiley faces, you can tell any comics story you want (trust us, we’ll show you how). If you have been drawing comics for years, we will give you a deeper understanding of comic book “language” to make your comics “smarter” and more expressive.

What to bring:
Energy and creativity. If you draw a lot and have some favourite tools (including possibly digital tools), you are more than welcome to bring those, but comics can be created with anything! We have some aprons, but wear clothes that can withstand the elements (i.e. glue, paint, etc.) of a fun, creative art studio. Nothing else is required.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
